Save our Wetlands Screening Has Been Postponed |
The Chapter screening on September 30th on behalf of the Gulf Coast Restoration Network on Saving Our Wetlandshas been postponed due to low expected attendance. The chapter will atempt to reschedule the event in the future at a different venue (possibly someone's home) if there is enough interest.
The chapter will be handing out postcards at the next two watch parties (West Virginia & Tennessee) urging Congress to support and fund wetland restoration. We will gather them and Gulf Coast Restoration will mail them to Congress for us. We do urge all chapter members to support this urgent cause. |

LSU vs. North Carolina Watch Party |

Come join the LSU NE OK Chapter for the LSU vs. North Carolina game as we will be having our first Watch party of the season as well as our first Watch Party at our new location, The Fox and Hound (71st and S. Garnett). Kick-off is at 7 PM with our pre-game tailgate starting at 6:30 PM. We really need everyone to turn out in strong numbers for the Watch Party to show the Fox and Hound the power of the Tiger nation in Tulsa. We will have Watch Parties at the Fox and Hound for all televised games. The times for the Vanderbilt game on Saturday Sept 11th and the Mississippi State game on September 18th have been set for 6 PM. We will have our pre-game tailgate at the Fox and Hound for those games at 5:30 PM. We hope you can make it for one or more of these Watch Parties so you can feel the camaraderie of bunch of LSU fans cheering collectively for the Tigers in the Sooner state. Makes you wonder if OU has a New Orleans or Shreveport chapter? If they do I bet hey aren't as strong as our LSU NE OK Tulsa area chapter. |

Arkansas Tickets Available! |
Greetings Tiger Fans and LSU Alums:
Just a brief note to let you know that LSU vs. Arkansas Football tickets are currently available on the LSU Athletic Department Website, http://www.lsusports.net/. You may need to register if you haven't previously purchased tickets from them. The game is the Saturday after Thanksgiving 11/27/10 in Little Rock. Game time has not been set yet. This is the closest drive for LSU Tulsa Area Alumni and fans to see the Tigers play.
The tickets will be in the LSU section and are $65 each with a $7 handling fee per ticket plus a $5 order fee for the total order.

New Watch Party Location for LSU NE OK |
Indigo Joe's, the LSU NE OK Chapter Watch Party site for the past three years closed its doors in May. The LSU NE OK Board has approved a watch party search committee comprised of James Phillips, Sarah McKinney, and Keith Huffman to search for a replacement site for the 2010. The committee is currently looking at places in the Tulsa area and hope to have a final recommendation for approval at the next Board Meeting on July 15th.
